Bharatpur Weekend Getaway

Day - 01 : Delhi Sightseeing 
Upon your arrival in the morning, you will find our assistant at the
airport, waiting for you. You will be escorted and transferred to the
hotel that you have chosen. You can freshen yourself in the hotel room
and will served with breakfast. You can choose from different kinds of
cuisines available at the hotel. Trying an Indian cuisine like aloo paratha
with curd or poha can be good option. You can rest in the hotel for two
hours. In the mean time, our assistant will be ready with an air conditioned
coach and wait outside the hotel. In noon time, you will board at the
bus and move for Humayun's Tomb in central Delhi. After an hour's sightseeing
tour to this Mughal monument, board at the bus and move to Chandani Chowk,
the commercial hub of Old Delhi. Within narrow streets of Delhi, you will
be taken to famous food shops, where you can taste some of the delicious
variety of Indian Cuisines. You will be taken for a lunch at Haldiram's,
which is a famous food shop here. Although we have put Indian cuisine
on serve but you may ask our assistant to have food of your choice. After
lunch you can stroll in the narrow streets of Chandani Chowk and shop
for some of the Indian Traditional wear. Moving around in a rickshaw can
be good photoshooting experience. By five in the evening, we will be visiting
famous Sees Gunj Guridwara which is a heritage sight of Delhi. After visit
to this Sikh sanitarium, board at bus and travel to Akshardham Temple
where you can enjoy sound and light show. Around 8 in the evening, you
will be taken to Cnnaught Place which is famous market place and represents
British architecture. You can take dinner here and move to India gate
for a evening walk in green surroundings and breath fresh air. Around
10 in the night, you can board at bus and return to hotel for overnight
stay.
Day - 02 : Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary
If you start early, you will be able to see more at Bharatpur Wildlife
Sanctuary. You will get a wakeup call around 05:30 am in the morning.
Fresh up and board at bus to reach Bharatpur. You will be served with
coffee and sandwiches in the coach itself. It takes about 4-5 hours to
reach Bharatpur, so the early you start, the early you reach here. In
the mid way, around 08:00am in the morning, you will be served with breakfast
which includes omelets and bread toasts with tea or coffee. We will reach
Bharatpur around 10-11 am in the morning where you will be transferred
to a hotel that you have booked as per your needs and requirements. Bharatpur
is bird watcher's paradise. It was declared a world heritage site in 1985.
You will find hundreds of variety of birds nestling here. A perfect eco-destination,
at Bharatpur, we would advise you to maintain the true spirit of eco-tourism.
Upon arrival at this sanctuary, there will be jeeps and elephants waiting
for you outside the sanctuary to take you to a round trip to the sanctuary.
All tourists would be divided into groups of six for jeeps and four for
elephants safari. You can choose between the two and each group will be
provided with a personal guide. However, we have provided you with the
option to choose, it is personal advise to go for elephant ride as jeep
tours pollute the environment with the poisonous fumes, they emit. You
will also be provided with water bottles and can buy snacks from local
outlets. It is a request not to throw empty bottles and food packets around
park. After a trip around the sanctuary, halt at common meeting place
in the afternoon at around 02:30pm for lunch. After lunch, go into deepest
core of the sanctuary and capture vivid avian life in your cameras and
return for evening tea with refreshments at around 05:30pm. After evening
refreshments, you can move to wildlife resort that we have booked for
you and freshen up yourself. After about 2 hours of rest, there will be
barbecue and bonfire arranged for you. Enjoy the roasted meat amidst jungle
and listen to the interesting jungle encounters that the guide tells you.
Stay overnight at the wildlife resort.
Day - 03 : Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary Eco-Tourism
We always recommend visitors to start early as you can have more time
in hand. It is best to spot birds early morning. You will get a wakeup
call at around 04:30 in the morning. An hours time will be provided to
get ready for the trip. Now, here is something surprising for you. You
will be provided with bicycles to move around in the sanctuary and capture
some of the magical moments. It is the best time to watch birds. If you
you are not interested in riding a bicycle, then there will be row boats
which you can hire to have a float around the lake here. You will be served
with breakfast at around 8:00am at a common meeting place. Till 4 o'clock
in the evening, you can move around the sanctuary or rest at the cottage.
In between the cycling trail around the lake, you can come back for lunch
at around 2:30 am. Get you bags ready as we'll leave for Agra at 04:00pm.
Agra is 56 km from here and it will take slightly more than an hour to
reach the city of Taj Mahal. By 06:00 in the evening, you will be transferred
to hotel where you can rest and feel at ease. If you are not feeling tired,
you can talk to our assistant and he will tell some of the famous market
places where you can go shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day - 04 : Agra Sightseeing
You will get a wakeup call at eight in the morning. You can take shower
and get dressed well to meet the marble splendor of India. Have breakfast
and the hotel and as you move out of hotel, you will find our coaches
waiting for you. Board at the coach and head for seventh wonder of the
world. Upon reaching Taj Mahal, you will be divided into different groups
of six with a personal guide for each group. Tourists generally complain
of standing in long cues for tickets. In order to help you avoid such
a situation, one of our assistant will be there at Taj Mahal with your
entry tickets and a personal guide. You can straightaway head towards
this magnificent monument and capture some of the splendid moments here.
It takes around two hours to have an indepth view of the magnificent edifice.
After hours tour to Taj Mahal, our assistant will take you for lunch at
around one o'clock. While moving across the streets of Agra, you will
find a number of shops selling tiny models of this monument. Buy one as
a remembrance. Another famous thing to buy here is 'Petha'. It is a famous
sweet made out of pumpkins. They are available in different varieties
and tastes. Ask our assistant and he will help you choose one. After lunch
and shopping, move to Fatehpur Sikri Fort in the afternoon. You can visit
this fort to praise its intricate carvings and splendid architecture.
From here, you can have a telescopic view of Taj Mahal. It is the same
place where Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan spent latter days of his life, missing
his wife. After a visit to Fatehpur Sikri, you will be provided with evening
refreshments. At around four in the evening, board at the bus and move
back to Delhi. Delhi is about 200km from Agra and it takes around five
hours to reach Delhi by bus. We will reach Delhi by nine in the night.
Have dinner at the hotel and move to airport for onward journey. For those
who have flights, next day can make a stay at the hotel. Ask our assistant
to help you.
